We must honor the dedication and sacrifice of the men and women who serve our country bravely.  Our veterans have done all we ask of them, and now we must take care of them when they return home.

The Veterans Administration must be modernized and easier to navigate.  Our veterans should not have to fight with a bureaucracy to receive their benefits.  We also need to make sure our veterans are receiving the kind of care they need, especially for post traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury.  Congress started down the right path in passing the 21st Century G.I. Bill.  I will work to continue expanding veteran’s benefits, making sure our returning soldiers have the health care and the mental health support they need, and a job waiting for them when they come home.
